California Welcome Center Yucca Valley is Looking for Volunteers
Do you like meeting new people? Are you looking for something new and exciting in your life? Maybe you are looking for a way to give back to your local community!
Become a Volunteer at the California Welcome Center in Yucca Valley
Our center is one of only 23 California Welcome Centers in the state. This presents a very exciting opportunity to meet and greet some of our many wonderful visitors from across the USA and around the world.
Who Are We?
California Welcome Center Yucca Valley is located at 56711 Twentynine Palms Hwy in Yucca Valley. We are on the south side of the highway, along with the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce.
We’re open Monday-Sunday from 9am to 4pm. We are closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
We are run by a local non-profit, Desert Regional Tourism Agency (DRTA). Its Board of Directors is dedicated to promoting tourism in the Joshua Tree Gateway communities.
Our Volunteers work part time – as little as one 3.5-hour shift per week. Duties include talking with visitors and assisting them with their travel plans while in the area. You will have the opportunity to meet new people from all around the world, make new friends, and feel good about helping your community.
We need volunteers!
The more volunteers, the more we can serve our community visitors and partners. Flexible schedule – Friendly staff and overall fun place to be…. Come join us!

As Gift Shop Manager of CWC, I love helping connect our visitors with the local community places to go and things to do. This is an amazing place, and it is fun to share it with our visitors.
