It is owned and operated by three of the most spiritual women I have ever met. They have created an environment that invites you to come in, relax, and enjoy a good conversation. Their two back rooms are a display home for members of Chaparral Artists. They hang 6 shows a year, two for fine art, two for photography and two for fun. Throughout the rest of the store the works of another 125 local artists are displayed and sold. These range from paintings and jewelry to drums and bead work.

In a mood for Mexican food? Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine (www.laspalmasmexicancuisine.com) located at 55792 29 Palms Highway showcases local works of art along with fine food. Enjoy a delicious meal while viewing beautiful watercolor and oil paintings of desert life.

The wall art and atmosphere at Frontier Cafe (www.cafefrontier.com) located at 55844 29 Palms Hwy is as eclectic as it’s menu. Sample a savory sandwich or salad, sip a glass of wine, relax with a latte, or cup of tea and in take the beauty around you. The art is also for sale.

For a unique and magical experience, drop into ArtFX and Furnishings (www.society6.com) at 55386 29 Palms Hwy. Owner Carlos Reyes is a very talented artist himself, and he shares his venue with many other local artists. You’ll find custom furnishings, decorator art like hand twisted copper Joshua trees, wall hangings, paintings, photographs, and a variety of handmade jewelry and knick knacks.
