Art Abounds in Old Town Yucca Valley

While there are no art “galleries” in Old Town, there are several businesses that are proud to display and sell the work of local artists. These establishments are well worth a visit.

Rainbow Stew Yucca ValleyRainbow Stew (www.rainbowstew4u.com) located at 55509 29 Palms Highway provides a place where you can acquire unique treasures, wonderful books, beautiful clothing, essential oils and incense, exquisite one of a kind jewelry, delicious baked goods, inspiring art work, and so much more. It is owned and operated by three of the most spiritual women I have ever met. They have created an environment that invites you to come in, relax, and enjoy a good conversation. Their two back rooms are a display home for members of Chaparral Artists. They hang 6 shows a year, two for fine art, two for photography and two for fun. Throughout the rest of the store the works of another 125 local artists are displayed and sold. These range from paintings and jewelry to drums and bead work.
