About California Welcome Center
The Yucca Valley California Welcome Center is managed by the Desert Regional Tourism Agency (DRTA). We are one of 19 welcome centers in California. During your visit stop by our visitor center where one of our friendly ambassadors will help you plan your stay. At that time you will receive free maps and suggestions of places to see as well as where to eat and stay when visiting the Joshua Tree National Park area.
Furthermore, you’ll find a gift shop where you can purchase a wide variety of souvenirs and unique items made by local artists. Many of our items can be purchased online too. Then have them conveniently delivered to your home. Shop online at: www.joshuatreegiftstore.com. Above all, let us be your one stop shop for travel and community information.

MEET OUR TEAM
Volunteers are undoubtedly the backbone of the California Welcome Center. Due to our volunteers the Center is able to provide valuable services to visitors of Joshua Tree as well as the surrounding areas. Volunteer tasks range from greeting and engaging with visitors to organizing products in the store, filing, and other administrative duties. Of course if you would like to volunteer with the CA Welcome Center in Yucca Valley, contact us with your availability. Also, please include any formal education or training you may have.
